The family run firm Drews Limited of Reading – known locally as Drews the Ironmongers – is an independent hardware store that has stood the test of time. Established in the 1920’s, Drews attributes its longevity to supplying its customers with quality products at affordable prices.

Their core products remain ironmongery, locks, tools, fixings and plumbing supplies, but over the years the company has diversified to meet customer demand and now stock an extensive selection of Dickies workwear.

Among the workwear bearing Dickies legendary branding customers will find coveralls, chef’s wear, high visibility garments and safety footwear in a wide variety of styles including rigger boots, trainers, shoes and hikers boots. Furthermore, Drews will order any product from the Dickies catalogue that is not available in the store.

As a member of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers, Drews is committed to maintaining high levels of service and providing their customers with accurate, up to date information. Currently there are four fully qualified Architectural Ironmongers in store to assist customers, with other members of staff working towards the qualification.

Drews reputation has travelled far and wide and they regularly receive orders from the Hebrides, Jersey, the West Indies and Australia. Closer to home they supply many of Reading’s major building contractors, local schools, hospitals and the University.
